According to the calendar it is the second month of autumn in Australia, but the weather is still incredibly warm and it's just a pleasure to be outdoors and feel the soft rays of the sun on your skin. We were absolutely blessed with beautiful weather during the Easter break and took lots of walks around our favourite parts of the city still wearing our summer clothes, case in point my outfit today was inspired by my memories of our trip to Italy two years ago.
We arrived in Sorrento in the middle of September. Typically for this part of Italy, it was very warm during the day but once the sun would set, you would feel the chill in the air and.
Walking along the promenade with my husband, I kept looking around trying to capture the sense of Italian fashion and couldn't help but notice how many Italians, both men and women, love to be dressed in white from head to toe and then added big bold and bright accessories, whether it was shoes, handbags, head or neck scarves etc.
I especially loved the way some men would wear a scarf effortlessly wrapped over a plain white t-shirt and still look very chic.
And that is what I had in mind when getting dressed for lunch and a slow walk with our friends during the Easter break. I started with a white pair of jeans and a t-shirt and layered with contrasting colour which I drew from my old Hermes scarf.
I wanted to capture the image of our world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge behind me but it came a bit overexposed because the sun was right above us.
Although all the pieces of my outfit have been in my closet for sometime now, today is the first time that I wear them all together. My outfit details:
Scarf - Hermes
T-shirt - Uniqlo
White jeans - J Brand
Jacket - Mark and Spencer
Shoes - Alpha 80
Handbag - Louis Vuitton
Belt - Hermes
Can you believe I don't have any white trousers! I really should shop one as they look so very good! Love your look and the mules!
ReplyDeleteFunny that you said that, Nancy but you have such a lovely clothes in your wardrobe that compensates the absence of white trousers :)
DeleteBeautiful outfit Anna! I didn't know that about Italy, that they wore alot of all white outfits with color. I am going to make note. The scarf and belt are gorgeous accessories and I love the cut outs on your pretty shoes.

DeleteI can totally see both Greece and Italy in this stylish everyday warm weather look. The blues and whites are totally Mediterranean and remind one of the sea and sky. Love your shoes and all the pops of color. Italy is gorgeous but so is Australia. And they both have great weather, too. In my latest post I talk a little bit about Michigan and its great lakes. =) Come check it out and join my Thursday Moda Linkup on Thursdays, too.
